Cerro La Paloma - 2 days
The hike to Paloma Valley is less known and less frequented than Cochamo’s famous Trinidad and Anfiteatro, making it more exceptional. The trek offers beautiful views of the dense old forest. Once we reach the upper valley, we will visit a small glacier at the base of granite walls. After spending an evening taking in the unique sunset views over the Anfiteatro and Trinidad valley, we will enjoy a peaceful bivy under the stars, embracing the serene silence of the alpine landscape.
On the second day, experienced hikers may opt for a climb to the alpine ridges, enjoying a rare opportunity to walk along the granite skyline and witness sights few have encountered. Some scrambling and the use of ropes are necessary to reach the ridges. Our guides will be present to ensure your safety during the ascent.
After soaking in the breathtaking views, we will begin our descent back to base camp in La Junta for a well deserved meal.
